Kṛṣṇa means 'All-Attractive'. This implies that someone who is attractive to everyone can be called Kṛṣṇa. However, we cannot find a single person in this world whom every living entity finds attractive. In fact, names of gods, demigods, gurus, etc., are given based on the qualities they possess.

In the case of Kṛṣṇa, not only every single person but also insects, animals, trees, flowers, and even demons are attracted to Him.

Now, one may argue, "If Kṛṣṇa is all-attractive, why am I not attracted to Him?" or "Why can't I feel the love of God?" The answer is simple yet not straightforward.

Consider an example of an Iron,

It is the intrinsic property of iron metal to be attracted to a magnet. However, what if the same piece of iron is covered with rust? In that case, the rusted iron is not attracted to the magnet. The iron is the same in both examples, but in the second case, it is covered with rust.

Similarly, the rust of lust, anger, pride, false ego, etc., prevents us from being attracted to Kṛṣṇa and from feeling His love. Our heart is pure, but it has become polluted by the material contamination of this world. Just as a raindrop is pure and clean but becomes polluted, dusty, and discolored upon contact with the ground.

However, the contamination of the heart can be easily removed, and it can regain its original pure state simply by chanting the Hare Kṛṣṇa maha-mantra. By this, one can easily remove the rust and become attracted to Kṛṣṇa, experiencing His divine love.

Hare Kṛṣṇa Hare Kṛṣṇa Kṛṣṇa Kṛṣṇa Hare Hare Hare Rāma Hare Rāma Rāma Rāma Hare Hare

This transcendental sound vibration, when chanted and heard with attention and devotion, cleanses our heart and mind, ultimately bringing inner peace, bliss, and joy.
